The COMSAT Legacy Foundation was headed by Ed Martin and negotiated with Lockheed Martin for some of the Legacy materials. Some of the materials were given to Johns Hopkins University and to George Washington University. Other copies were retained. Ownership of the retained materials was transferred to COMARA in 2009.
A number of oral interviews were recorded by various interviewers. The copies available are all in portable document format [pdf]. Select an interview from the list on the left, and it will open in this window.
You will need to have a portable document reader installed on your
computer to view these files. Most computers already have this.
You can Get Adobe Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader/
Note: Many computers will open a pdf file in a browser window. The file is transferred to your computer in a temporary folder, and then Adobe Reader loads and displays the file in the browser window. You can save the pdf file or print the file from Reader. In some cases, the computer will not open the file in a browser window. The user is presented with a window to download the file directly to the computer. If this happens, you can still view the file by saving to a folder of your choosing, and then open the file directly in Adobe Reader (or an equivalent application). The webmaster had a period when Adobe Reader would not load directly. Removing some older versions of Adobe files restored the desired action.
