2004 Board of Directors Election

The first election for nine directors was held last year. At that time, three directors were elected to terms of one, two, and three years respectively.

The term for the three directors with an initial duration of one year is now expiring. It is now time to elect three directors to serve for the next three years. Irv Dostis, Walt McKee, and Peter Weiss have agreed to be candidates for this election.

Paid members are eligible to vote. Please visit the COMARA web site and sign in. A link to the ballot is available on the home page and on the left navigation bar [Ballot]. Please register your vote before October 8, 2004.

If can join us for the annual meeting on October 13 (the Rathskeller in Washington near Dupont Circle), please RSVP to annual.meeting@comara.org before October 8.

Web Site Makeover

A makeover for the web site is now underway. The pages are getting a new look.

In addition, the sign in process should be easier. The Sign In form has changed. It is no longer on the home page. Just click the "Sign In" link on the left navigation bar on the home page, or the small "Sign In" links at the top right of most pages. This takes you to the page containing the revised sign in form. The logic hs changed - now, the check box should remain unchecked - unless you are using a public computer (e.g. at a public library).

If you already have a cookie from the web site, the form should have your name, pin, and password (asterisks if you created one, otherwise blank) already filled in. Leave the checkbox unchecked and submit. It should take you back to the home page. But, now you will see your name near the top, and the Sign In links have changed to Sign Out.

You need either your PIN or password. If you don't remember your PIN, click the link on the sign in form and the server will email your PIN to your email service. If you have any questions, email webmaster@comara.org
Include three items:

  1. What operating system are you using.
  2. What browser are you using.
  3. What is happening on your computer.
