The reason for this list to maintain contact with all of the people who made COMSAT a great success. Walt McKee has been working to add names that are not on this list. We hope this "contacts" list will eventually contain the name of every former employee. We only have email addresses for a small number of the people on the contacts list. This is the first attempt in some time to contact the names that we do have. The purpose of this emailing is two-fold. First to invite you to join us at the next social on April 3. The other is to determine which email addresses in the list are valid. All former COMSAT employees are invited to the social. If you are already a member of COMARA, then your contact information also in a different table in our records. [more info below] Here's a note from Jack Hannon that I received. _____________________________________________________________________ Doubletree at Tysons Comes Through!! from Jack Hannon I was at a wedding reception in the Ballroom at the Doubletree Tysons last night, and the food was truly awesome, some of the tenderest filet mignon I have ever had, a very nice salad, and a wonderful dessert! I think we're in for a treat two Sundays from now. Our numbers are nearing 100 for the Early Bird celebration but there is room for more - please make those last calls to former colleagues in the next 2 - 3 days. I need to give them a "final" food order about three days before the event. so we need to call them in NOW. Can anybody do some modest decorations, such as a computer-generated banner or two proclaiming Early Bird's anniversary or some such? Does anybody have a model of Early Bird that they can show?
