25-Nov-2005Jack Hannon provided his initial analysis of the Lockheed Martin medical insurance benefits for 2006 during the annual enrollment period that ended November 13. A few days later, LM sent out the "creditable coverage" letter to those with medical coverage.
Some you may not have LM Insurance for prescriptions, or you may have family or friends who need to evaluate the new Medicare prescription benefit. Additional information has been added to the benefits section that may help you get started with evaluating the options.

This is the first note received from Ron Johnson:

It is a completely unofficial and informal event. Last year we had a
great turn out, reminiscing and seeing old friends. Traditionally it's
been an event attended by members and spouses of the Microwave Lab
at COMSAT Labs but that has expanded over the years, so that all are
welcome. "
The Thanksgiving Surprise!
Ron Johnson sent the following email this week.
"As it turns out, I may not be able to attend this year. I'm in
Sunnyvale, CA for Lockheed Martin.
I called Roy's Place weeks ago and told them to expect approx.
40-50 people. If I don't make it, have a great time.

Just so you know, this is not a COMARA-sponsored event. We're just helping Ron Johnson with the publicity. However, based on the emails that have been received, it appears that this year's get-together will have a good attendance.

Several members have asked for the status of their dues payments.
The status for each member is being checked. An email or letter will be sent to each
member in December containing the status of dues payment.
The first year dues (in the year registered)
is $25. Dues for 2005 are $10. Dues for 2006 are also $10.
